Who we are

Personal data we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, postcode, selected service and message. We also store the date and source page for the enquiry.

How we use your data

We use enquiry data to:

• respond to your enquiry and provide a quote;
• arrange or deliver gardening services you ask about;
• keep a record of enquiries in the website admin backend;
• protect the website from spam, abuse and unauthorised access.

If enquiry emails are enabled, the site emails the enquiry to hello@thegardenguys.uk. If email is disabled, enquiries are stored in the backend only.

Lawful basis

We normally process enquiry data because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract with you, or because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and keeping business records. If you opt in to receive updates or offers, that optional use is based on your consent.

Who we share data with

We use website hosting, database and email providers to run the site. They process data only as needed to provide those services. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep data

Enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact unless we need to keep them longer for legal, accounting or dispute reasons.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data. You can also object to some processing and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To use these rights, email hello@thegardenguys.uk.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how your personal data is handled.
